My grandmother’s favorite dessert was undoubtedly tiramisu. I mean to the point that she knew exactly where she could get the best tiramisu, who had the worst, and once she was home bound, where she ordered us to pick it up for her and to be sure to let them know that she wanted the FRESHEST piece they had or they could “forget it”.
For her special Mary Lillie Memory Club luncheon, I knew that I had to serve tiramisu, but the problem was that I have never made it and also knew that we would be quite full from our meal for a big heavy dessert. Luckily Breyer’s Ice Cream sent me samples of some of their new Gelato Indulgences and one just so happened to be Tiramisu. LUCKY ME!!!!!
I found some cute little fluted ice cream cups and picked up some dark chocolate covered pretzels at Whole Foods and voila dessert was served.
Breyer’s also has three other delicious gelato flavors. Be sure to pick up a carton! You won’t be sorry!
