So, I realize this might be macaron blasphemy, but it wasn’t until very recently that I actually ate my first macaron. I’m not quite sure what I thought I would expect, but after sampling the Signature Macaron Collection from the super popular Sucre’ bakery in New Orleans did it hit me in the face what I have been missing all this time. You know that expression “party in my mouth”? Well, this was like the Millennial Celebration in my mouth!
Sucre‘ is the brainchild of French cuisine genius Joel Dondis. His culinary experience in New Orleans is deeply ingrained in his blood with the likes of the Brennan family at Mr. B’s Bistro and Mr. Bam-tabulous Emeril Lagasse at Emeril’s followed by his own creation of JCSE a highly acclaimed catering company in Louisiana. After forming a partnership with the pastry genius Tariq Hanna, Sucre’ was brought to life and has been pleasing the pastry palates of New Orleans mouths for the last few years.
Sucre‘ has fantastic pastries, chocolates, champagne pairings and more perfect for holiday entertaining, gifts and hostess gifts. And in true NOLA fashion, I would remiss not to mention their amazing King Cakes to get your mind on the biggest celebration in the Delta.
