An M&Z Thanksgiving Dinner

A day at my office is a bit less than conventional.  Our office is filled with all kinds of interesting creatures (myself included).  If I could describe our office by tv shows, I would say that we are a bit of The Office meets LOL meets 30 Rock meets Flipping Out meets Parks and Recreation meets Curb Your Enthusiasm and I am sure there are a few more that Mickey or Tee would say are “before my time”.  Very recently it really was an exact rendition of the Bat episode from The Office except it was a rogue bird and I was Kelly Kapoor running frantically across the office after it flew into my office while Mickey, Taylor and Alyson tried to catch it with a fishing net.  I could go into great detail about our office shenanigans, but I’m not sure how my boss would feel about me broadcasting it across cyber space, but in the end we are a professional bunch of people who find humor to get us through the workday.

We just held our annual potluck Thanksgiving dinner where we cram all 29 of us into a small space and try to give thanks for each other (which we all secretly do).  There was a small gap in communication as to who was bringing the turkey this year (Tee’s bikini turkey last year was one for the books), and so as Hunter likes to sing “Honey Baked Ham saved the day…..they saved the day”, but aside from that and a few store bought pies and rolls from the young single guys with no wives to make their dish for them, it was mostly all homemade from some of our favorite recipes.  “You like my slaw?!”

I am truly thankful for such an amazing place to call my work home and for all the people past and present who make it a great place to spend most of my days with.  Life is too short to have a job you hate going to and I can honestly say there has NEVER been a dull moment at the days that I go to mine.

Happy Thanksgiving to my M&Z family! I am thankful for each and every one of you……..most of the time!
